Have no fear guys paranormal junkie is here with another very creepy video in our worlds most haunted objects series. Today we are going to walk into the unknown like we always do here at paranormal junkie and talk about one of the most famous possessed dolls of all time.
The story of Robert the haunted doll. In the late 1800s a young boy named Robert and his family moved in to a very big house in Key West, Florida. Roberts family was known to be a little to strict with their servants. The female servant that took care of little Robert was said to practice in the dark arts. One day the master of the house caught the servant practicing black magic in the backyard and fired her.
Before the servant left she made little Robert a doll. Robert loved the doll and named it after himself. Robert and his doll where inseparable. The servants constantly heard Robert talking to the doll. The servants would say if you listened close enough you could hear a phantom voice talking back. They were terrified of the doll and they kept their distance.
Roberts father would always blame his son for all the mysterious events that started happening within their house. Robert would tell his father that his doll did it, Of course Roberts father didn’t believe him. The neighbors would always see the doll moving from window to window, they first thought that it was Robert playing a joke. But when the doll would move from window to window when no one was home they started to believe that this doll was actually alive. Everybody started to get a little freaked out. But nevertheless Robert loved the doll his whole life.
Robert eventually inherited the family mansion and lived there until the day he died. After Roberts death a new family moved in. The new family had a little girl and she found the doll stored away in the attic. The Little girl told her parents that the doll in the attic was alive and she did not like him.
The new family saw how unique this doll was and decided to donate it to a local museum in Key West Florida. The doll still remains there to this very day. Robert the doll has quit the reputation these days. They say if you take a picture of Robert without asking permission first he will curse you. The Museum has hundreds of letters on display asking Robert for forgiveness as they did not ask permission before taking Robert’s photo. The letters also ask Robert if he could please take away the curse that he bestowed upon them.
Robert the doll is indeed one of the most famous haunted dolls on the planet. I personally think Robert the doll is not possessed by an evil spirit. A lot of people believe that the servant who made the doll for Robert wanted to get back at Roberts family for being so strict. I don’t think this is true. I believe the servant liked Robert very much and made the doll so he had someone to play with, as the doll acts more like a spoiled child then a demon hell bent on revenge. Plus Robert loved this doll his whole life. So if you ever go visit Robert the doll down in Key West Florida make sure to give it a nice warm hearted hug and please don’t forget to ask for his approval before taking his photo.
Until next time this is paranormal junkie and make sure to stay tuned for part 4 in our worlds most haunted objects series.
